Autumn 2023 Litter Pick

On a slight damp October morning a group of our WI members took to the streets and river bank in Sunbury Village for a litter pick. The location was chosen to support the clean rivers campaign. Pickers, bags and tabards were provided via Spelthorne Bough Council. We even had Spelthorne Litter Pickers hi viz jackets, thank you Pam Ibrahima for organising the kit and Claire Corrigan for the promotion, great moving poster. Some interesting items were picked. Lysa White won best pick for the designer pants. We finished the pick with a coffee and breakfast at Surplus to Supper in support of one of our local chosen charities. For every every breakfast bought another is donated. It was a great morning well done everyone.
