Christmas 2023

Christmas 2023 started with a Christmas Craft-Themed WI evening facilitated by Alice from Rosie's Corner.  We dabbled with decoupage creating elegant tins.  We beaded and painted to make beautiful things. 

In the lead up to Christmas we were joined by Jo from the Cake Box in Hampton for a yule log cake topper decorating workshop.  We were all a step closer to completing our festive bakes.

So proud of our generous members who donated a total of £275 for the Haven St Saviours Food Bank gift aid collection supporting local families at Christmas time. Well done Shelagh Bonnichon for co-ordinating . We received a lovely thank you 

Thank you for such an amazing donation towards our Community Christmas appeal this year of £275.00 plus £15 M&S voucher as agreed £70 paid for Blessing bags which we pack and give to parent carers of the children these were purchased from Card factory Sunbury Cross , the voucher will be given to a teenager and the remaining money donated will go towards other needs of people within our community .These donations are so welcomed at this time of year for some in our community it's a very worrying and challenging time especially those with children. The donations we receive make such a difference to their lives and can make their Christmas day extra special. We would love to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year may it be filled with Love Peace and Joy.

We had an exciting WI evening with mulled wine and minced pies and the present game created a lot of drama with gifts being stolen!  A big thank you to Claire Corrigan for the raffle prize donation and to Lysa White for wrapping. 

 Oh what a night….

A massive thank you to Jill Butler from the committee and all our members for arranging the Christmas meal  at Surplus to Supper 

A big thank you to Pam Ibrahima for organising the the Tea and Social Christmas do.
